  1. 12-16-93        If you get a HUM using an FX9642 modem....

  3. Near  the phone jacks are 4 'large' orange disc capacitors. Just  cut  them

  5. out, leave the smaller ones alone.  If the hum/buzz persists, then call for

  7. an RA for repair. (cutting the caps does not void your warranty)
